Had a blast writing drums to this tune, I've always loved writing new stuff for Rob! This was a pretty up-tempo tune so it was fun to really get the lead out! I had never seen any other blast beats with traditional grips.
All That Remains' drummer Jason Costa used to play with a traditional grip too! And he did blast beats a plenty with the same type of grip!
I always find heel toe sounds sloppy ,like a gallop insted of solid single notes you might get from swivel
